HNC/D Electrical/Electronic Engineering

This course is suitable for people currently or hoping to work in technical and management roles in Engineering. You can study a range of subjects, which could include Analytical Methods, Electrical and Electronic Principles, Engineering Science, Planning and Scheduling, depending on your starting point. This course gives you the opportunity to complete specialist studies which are directly relevant to job roles. Different delivery modes are available depending upon your starting qualification and whether you want to study full or part-time.

HNC: One Year (Full-Time); Two Years (Part-Time)


HNC: One Year (Full-Time); Two Years (Part-Time)

HND: Two years (Full-Time), three years (Part-Time), 12-18 months (Top up, Part-time).

Entry Requirements: Maths GCSE grade B or above, plus National Diploma (previously Certificate day release), or Extended Diploma (previously National Diploma full-time) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a merit profile. If you already have the QCF Higher National Certificate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering with merit profile or higher you would only need to achieve eight units and the time to achieve the HND is reduced accordingly. If you have GCSE grade C Maths or other qualifications/appropriate industrial experience you will be considered for admission on an individual basis.
